Glen Allen Qualifier

New Kent Robotics Team 16537 LOGICoyote participated in the FTC Glen Allen VA Qualifier on December 11, 2021. After the qualifying matches, the team was ranked #3 with 257 points.
Team 15304 CircuiTree was the #1 ranked team and selected our team to be their alliance partner in the Championship tournament. The pair won two semi-final matches with scores of 127 & 121 points, then won their two finals matches with scores of 125 & 139 points. The 127 points and 139 points both set records for VA at the time (although other great teams are sure to score higher at some point this season)
I am so very proud of our team.

Open House

On May 14th, 2022, we hosted an open house at the Heritage Public Library where we were able to introduce many new students to our team as well as bring in students to start a robotics club.

New Kent County Fair

Come out to see us today Oct 9th at the New Kent County Fair! https://www.newkentcountyfair.com/ We will be providing demonstrations of our competition robot from last season and also have a robot that can be driven by fair attendees of all ages! Talk to us to see if robotics is a good fit for your student! We will be on hand from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.

VA State Championship: Feb 22

Less than one week away – our team will be competing with 50+ of the other top FTC teams in Virginia.

The competition is on Feb 22 at Atlee High School in Mechanicsville. Matches will start around 10:30 and go until at least 4:30. An invitation to Worlds in Detroit in April is on the line. I am so proud of how far this team has come in a single season!

New Kent Elementary School Science Fair

New Kent Robotics has been invited to the New Kent Elementary School Science Fair. This is a public event, so everyone can come out and see the science projects from the school students! New Kent Robotics will be on hand showing what we do through several stations, and we will have our competition robot demonstrating the FTC SkyStone game. Come talk to us about what we are doing, and what we hope to build for the future.
