Come out to see us today Oct 9th at the New Kent County Fair! https://www.newkentcountyfair.com/ We will be providing demonstrations of our competition robot from last season and also have a robot that can be driven by fair attendees of all ages! Talk to us to see if robotics is a good fit for your student! We will be on hand from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.
Less than one week away – our team will be competing with 50+ of the other top FTC teams in Virginia.
The competition is on Feb 22 at Atlee High School in Mechanicsville. Matches will start around 10:30 and go until at least 4:30. An invitation to Worlds in Detroit in April is on the line. I am so proud of how far this team has come in a single season!
New Kent Robotics has been invited to the New Kent Elementary School Science Fair. This is a public event, so everyone can come out and see the science projects from the school students! New Kent Robotics will be on hand showing what we do through several stations, and we will have our competition robot demonstrating the FTC SkyStone game. Come talk to us about what we are doing, and what we hope to build for the future.
WE ARE GOING TO STATES!! On Saturday, New Kent Robotics’ FTC team 16537 LOGICoyote spent the day at UVA for the Charlottesville Qualifier. The team was successful throughout the day, impressing everyone from judges to volunteers to other teams with their enthusiasm. We went 3-2 in qualifying matches, and won one match in the Semi-Finals! Judges were impressed by the team, visited our pit several times throughout the day, and selected us for the Connect Award. This distinction allowed us to qualify for the Virginia State Championship, which will be Feb 22 at Atlee High School in Mechanicsville. There are so many different story lines about the remarkable day I would like to share – please follow our facebook page to see those posts.
