A competitive robotics team will have a strong impact on the community and on the team members, but it requires a significant amount of help and support to be effective in that aim. Coaches and mentors will guide the team members throughout the season, sponsors will supply the funding and materials required, and the whole community will provide moral support and word-of-mouth advertising.
